Since Dunderdale has no use for the PUB I wonder does any member of the PUB have the guts to quit in protest...I dont think so, but it sure would send a message loud and clear to the joke of a government.

More BS :
Time to leave NL and head to Alberta. More opportunities etc for children and jobs as they get older. At least they won't be left with paying of a huge debt. Farewell and good riddance NL!!!

Freepower041 :
the cost of muskrat falls will make us forego the benfit of cheap power from churchill falls in 2041. muskrat falls will be redundant in 2041, just 24 years from the start of muskrat. can we pay off muskrat falls in 24 years? no our kids will be paying for this long after they should get power for nothing from churchill falls it is already built and paid for. Unfortunately all the benefit will go to Quebec until 2041 and now Dunderdale and company want us to forego that benefit for another 25-30 years! is project is crazy and I wish we would just move on with life and forget the mega-projects that get us in mega trouble.

Robert :
Excellent news, lets get this project going and get ourselves free from the stranglehold of Quebec once and for all. If if were not for the shortsighted view of the folks in the Gros Morne area we could have saved considerable dollars by erecting the transmission line on an already established route through the park. They claim it would jeopardize the UNESCO status of the park and do damage to the environment, yet they are okay with establishing a new scar on the land on top of the Long Range Mountains. They are okay with that environmental scar because it won't be visible, out of sight out of mind. The climate on the mountains will prove to be challenging to the power grid over the long run.

Ranter :
No government, no politician, no-one should force this kind of investment on tax payers without a referendum. One government does not have the power or authority to lock its people into a 50 year deal on anything, unless the people vote for it.
It's time to show dunderdunder who owns the power of decision in this province.

Murray :
It seems this project has been studied by "people in the know" and people who hardly know how to turn on a flashlight are saying it shouldn't be done. Enough of this nonsense! Get on with it!

Best thing since sliced bread. Get the job rolling never mind the opposition they would not even know a muskrat if they saw one, but, they are good as bitching and complaining.

Territory Of Labrador :
NALCOR wants this, NALCOR pays it all. Plus pays Labrador for loss of natural resources and pays lease payments to the Labrador Government for 100 years.
Referendum starting to sound better now NALCON?
Stop spending MY money to make YOU money. This is an outrage.

Progress :
As a newfounderlander, i must be open to new and responsible ways, concerning energy needs for our province. My fear is that my grand-children will be financially- burdeoned, more than i and aging 50 plus citizen, please prove me wrong.........

Wow :
Thats a big mistake, having to reengineer the Dam for best utilization. If I made a mistake like that I would never find another job in the engineering field.
But who cares, I guess the tax payers will pay for that mistake.

Annette :
Nalcor provided the numbers to Maitoba Hydro on which they(MH)based their conclusion. There is no info on the loan guarantee so we still are none the wiser about the Muskrat Falls fiasco!

How much money was wasted over all the fuss....this should of started construction long ago. If they wait much longer, it will cost even more

??? :
Nova Scotia only kicks in 1.2 Billion of the project? Seems like they are getting alot for their investment. Why dont we just fund all of it and get all of the benefits???
