The RNC began a search of a property in the city’s east end this afternoon.
RNC will only say that it’s in relation to an ongoing police investigation.a
Officers entered a home on Alice Drive off Hunt’s Lane, removed items from the home, and a vehicle was towed from the driveway.
Police will not say if it’s related to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 24-year-old Cortney Lake, but neighbours tell VOCM News it’s where Philip Smith—Lake’s ex-boyfriend—lives.

It’s three weeks ago today since Lake went missing.
The young Mount Pearl woman was last seen leaving her street on the evening of June 7. VOCM News is tracking the story and will have more details as they become available.
Meanwhile, Philip Smith appeared in court today on a number of breaches of court orders. He’s being held in custody pending a bail hearing set for July 4.
