This week, we mourn for one of our own.
Meech Kean, who joined our team at VOCM News three years ago, died suddenly this weekend. He was 27 years old.
Meech was primarily our legislative reporter but also filled many other key roles including Morning Show producer, in the short time he was with us.
He was part of the award-winning team that took home gold Atlantic Journalism Awards for the last two years.
Thank you @RNC_PoliceNL for holding #nltraffic as journalists made their way from @theSJCC toward @JagHotel! @meechkean @conorjfmccann pic.twitter.com/V5OLHcgQkB

Meech showed promise as a budding journalist from the outset as one who possessed many of the key components, particularly known for his drive, curiosity, and willingness to do everything asked of him.
