There were no serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in the west end of St. John’s yesterday evening.
Emergency crews were called to Campbell Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. after a taxi crashed into a utility pole, cracking it off. However, the vehicle didn’t stop there. It traveled further down the road before coming to a stop after striking a second pole.
Although damage to the van was extensive, the driver, who was the only occupant, appeared to have suffered minor injuries only.
A portion of Campbell Ave was closed for a time as the scene was cleared.
