The dangerous driving trial of 23-year-old Joshua Steele-Young of CBS resumes today in St. John’s Supreme Court.
He’s accused in a March 2017 car accident that left 21-year-old Morgan Pardy paralyzed from the waist down.
Pardy says she and Steele-Young had been dating, but broke up a day or two prior to the accident. She says they were arguing in his Honda Civic, and he began to pick up speed on Pitts Memorial Drive. The road was snow-covered at the time.
There was a single-vehicle accident, and Pardy was thrown from the car, leaving her paralyzed.
Trial began back in December, but was delayed because of an issue with missing disclosure.
Testimony is expected to resume this morning.
