A piece of industrial equipment parked in a pit on the main highway near Lewisporte was heavily damaged over the long weekend.
The conveyor belt on a recycler machine was cut in two, an act of vandalism that will cost approximately $5,000 to replace.
RCMP received the call around 8:00 yesterday morning. The damaged is believed to have occurred sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
