The province’s RCMP laid over 1,100 charges during Canada Road Safety Week.
From May 14 to 20, police were paroling the roadways targeting high risk driving behavior that puts others at risk.
Some of the charges include 10 impaired, 62 charges of aggressive driving, 656 speeding tickets, 11 charges of distracted driving and 23 people were caught driving without insurance.
RCMP are letting the public know that they will continue their efforts throughout the summer months as traffic increases on the highways.
