Some upgrades are coming to Gros Morne National Park.
The federal government today announced $4.2-million for the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The money will be used to replace and upgrade visitor facilities and restore the Trout River salmon population.

Included in the funding is $900,000 for the Gros Morne Institute for Sustainable Tourism Inc to help build the local tourism industry.
Federal Minister Catherine McKenna was on hand for this morning’s announcement along with area MP Gudie Hutchings.
