A Newfoundlander has died while taking part in the Ottawa Marathon on the weekend.
The man, in his 30’s, passed away on Sunday while running. Paramedics disclosed that the man “suffered a cardiac arrest on the course near Pretoria Bridge and required aggressive resuscitation.”
Paramedics say 11 patients required treatment Sunday. Many of the participants experienced symptoms related to exhaustion, dehydration, and heart problems.
