There was an unusual turn of events at the Musrkat Falls Inquiry yesterday.
Former senior civil servant and now Auditor General Julia Mullaley told the Inquiry she could not find three books of notes she took on Muskrat Falls at the time. She indicated the notes were held in a vault to which she did not have access.
Commissioner Richard LeBlanc ordered that she get access to the vault and find the notebooks.
Mullaley went to Confederation Building searching for the notes during the lunch break, but could not find them.
In the meantime, Mullaley indicated that commercial sensitivity was a reason often given by Nalcor for not divulging information, but she told co-counsel Barry Learmonth that did not always make sense.
She maintains there should not be a commercial sensitivity lens between Nalcor and government.
