The Newfoundland Growlers came up short in their efforts during last night’s game against the Toledo Walleye, losing 3-2.
With the win the Walleye have forced a game six, meaning the Growlers could win the Kelly Cup in front of a home town crowd and make history in the process by bringing home the province’s first-ever professional sports championship.
Game six happens Tuesday night down at Mile One, puck drop is at 7 p.m. Game seven, if needed, will take place on Wednesday at Mile One.
