Independent MHA Paul Lane says the Legislature needs to recognize Independent members.
Lane was one of two Independent members elected to the House of Assembly in the May 16th election and one of nine who ran.
He says now is the time for the House of Assembly’s Standing Orders to recognize that reality, regardless of what the parties say.
He wants Independent members to be recognized in the Standing Orders to have all the rights afforded to them as any other party.
