There has been a fatality on a construction site in Trinity Bay.
It happened outside a residence this morning in New Harbour, but it’s unclear exactly how it unfolded.
RCMP have confirmed that a 54-year-old man from this province, who was working for an asphalt/paving company, was killed in the industrial accident after being struck by a piece of heavy equipment during a paving project.
Occupational Health and Safety investigators were also called in to the scene.
A road in the town which was closed for a time has since been re-opened.
