The Toronto Raptors are the inspiration behind three new specially brewed selections at the Quidi Vidi Brewing Company, and they’re giving fans a place to watch all of the games.
Three new labels were released yesterday afternoon: Lowry’s Lager, We the North and Kawhida Vida; just in time for tonight’s game two match up with Golden State.
Sales and Marketing Director, Justin Fong says the brewery will be showing all of the Raptors NBA Finals games in the Taproom including Sunday nights game two, that gets underway at 9:30 p.m.
They will have a big screen tv playing the game, along with a projector screen at the front so you can watch from anywhere in the Taproom.
The three new selections will only be available at the brewery, and with a small batch, it will be served in small glasses only.
Fong says “die-hard” Raptors fans were the inspiration. He says the company has been working on the beer for a little while and wanted to get them out in time for the finals.
Local sports teams, Fong says, are also on their radar. He says the company is interested in doing something similar with the St. John’s Edge and Newfoundland Growlers.
