The fasting that comes along with the month of Ramadan has come to an end, and Muslim Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are celebrating today with the Feast of Eid.
This morning began with a massive prayer gathering at the Techniplex hosted by the Muslim Association.
Nabilla Kureshi says after thirty days of fasting, reflection and “stuffing your guts” at midnight.
She says it’s a day of celebration and indulgence with friends and family, saying goodbye to all the fasting but unfortunately always remembering you’re going to have to do it again next year.
