Some good news for residents in Paradise.
Mayor Dan Bobbett says construction on the Karwood Drive roundabout should be finishing up in about a week, as long as the weather cooperates.
Some 8,500 cars travel through it daily, causing significant backlogs while an additional entrance is being added to the roundabout.
Residents will be dealing with construction for the entire season as the MacNamara roundabout is being done in six phases. Mayor Bobbett says it might be a headache for a while, but the upgrades are needed.
As for another exit route planned for out of Paradise, Mayor Bobbett says it’s not going to be completed any time in the near future.
He says in the 10-year traffic plan they are looking at an additional route connecting to the Manuels bypass, or a connection to the Outer Ring Road, but that is another seven to 10 years away.
