A local activist and politician is voicing his concerns about the People’s Party of Canada following an announcement that the party is hosting a fundraiser at the Woodstock Colonial Restaurant in St. John’s later this month.
Hasan Hai took to Facebook over the weekend to air his concerns about the party.
He says the party’s values attract people who are against other cultures.
Party Leader Maxime Bernier appeared on VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly earlier this year and defended his party’s values, saying that racism and intolerance will not be accepted in the PPC.
Hai says he needs concrete proof before believing Bernier’s comments. He says words are hollow without any action.
