This year the province’s mining industry will pump a forecast $4-billion into the economy and employ over 6,000 people.

That was the message Premier Dwight Ball brought to the 32nd annual Baie Verte Mining Conference last night in his keynote opening address to delegates.

Premier Ball says the push now is on geological surveys to attract more mining activity.

He says it’s all about attracting young prospectors to the province and attracting investment.
