The Toronto Raptors got off to a slow start with some poor shooting, but the defense held them in it until the shooters got going in the third quarter. They scored 42 points in the first half but 61 in the second half while holding the Golden State Warriors to 92 points. Toronto outscored GS 37-21 in the third quarter. Golden State got to within 8 points with over 3 minutes on the clock but the Raptors responded with two baskets to seal the deal.
Toronto now leads the defending champs 3-1 as they head back to Canada.
Kawhi Leonard was the big gun for the offense with his 14th 30-plus performance in these playoffs, the most of any player by far. Steph Curry of the Warriors has seven such games.
Monday nights are usually pretty tame but this one will be anything but. The Raptors can close out the defending champ Warriors with a win Monday in Toronto for their first-ever NBA title.
