EVAS Air of Gander is going to launch a new service this summer between Fogo Island and Halifax.

The Fogo Island Inn says it puts people in major US hubs including New York City and Boston one day away.

The service will fly guests between Halifax and Fogo Island on Fridays and Mondays beginning July 12 through to September 9.

Pauline Payne, the director of sales systems and revenue management with the inn, says the new air access will make it easier for more guests to visit Fogo Island Inn. She says the new service is ideal for stays of three or four nights.

The flight will take about four hours.
