The Newfoundland Growlers have signed head coach John Snowden to a two-year contract extension.
Snowden took over bench duties from Ryane Clowe after Clowe left because of health issues. Snowden went on to lead the team to the Kelly Cup in its inaugural season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs, the parent team of the independently-owned Growlers, made the announcement today but did not release any of the terms.
