The former CEO of Nalcor, Ed Martin, denied evidence at the Muskrat Falls Inquiry yesterday that he was presented with a report from SNC-Lavalin detailing a greater scope of risk than previously projected.
A company official told the inquiry in an in-camera interview that an SNC-Lavelin official flew to St. John’s from Montreal for a one-hour meeting with Martin in the spring of 2013 – but when he emerged from the Nalcor building, he still had the report in hand because Martin refused to accept it.
Martin was questioned by co-counsel Barry Learmonth.
Martin insists the first time he heard about the report was after the Inquiry was appointed.
