A popular destination in Petty Harbour is open for another season.
The Petty Harbour Mini Aquarium features creatures caught along the Newfoundland shoreline and the displays vary from year-to-year.
Regular features include fish like cod and capelin, and crustaceans like lobster and crab.
The creatures that form the displays are then returned to the wild at the end of the season in a release party.
The facility’s life line water delivery stems, which feeds the exhibits, has been upgraded with the help of funding from ACOA, the provincial government and ExxonMobile’s HEBRON project.
One of the new attractions this year will be a deep water dark tank.
The facility is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Friday, September 6th.
