A woman who made a recent Facebook plea after observing some disturbing behaviour at a Paradise business says she hopes the awareness raised will do some good.
Jill, who asked not to have her last name used, posted on the Paradise Community Voice page about a recent incident at a local Dairy Queen involving a group of teenagers.
She says about 8 teenagers were acting loud and obnoxious and were very disrespectful to staff after being asked to be quiet by management.
The kids told the staff off and left their booth in a complete mess with garbage and food scattered all over for staff to clean up.
To make matters worse, says Jill, they went outside and started revving their dirt bikes, riding around in circles, racing in and out of traffic, and doing wheelies in front of cars.
Jill took to Facebook in frustration, outlining the “disgusting” behaviour. She hopes that it caught the attention of the parents of the kids involved.
She says she didn’t want this to be a big thing about whether or not kids can drive off road vehicles in Paradise, Jill’s goal was that she wanted the community to know that their behavior was unacceptable and that she hoped the parents would see it and speak with their kid.
One parent has already reached out to Jill and told her that he is on board for having a talk with his son and there will be repercussions for his behaviour.
Jill’s post prompted many others including local businesses to share similar experiences involving a group of teenagers riding dirt bikes in the Paradise area.
RNC have received complaints and say they are keeping an eye on the situation with increased patrols in the area.
