“It’s only the beginning.”

St. John’s City Councillor Dave Lane assures the public that there’s lots of work to be done as the city prepares to implement changes to accommodate a new bike plan.

Walkers and hikers have expressed safety concerns about a proposal to share walking trails and paths with bike users.

Lane says they’re listening to those concerns.

He says it’s a long-term proposal and it’s important that whatever they do involves the voices, wants and needs of other users.
