A loaded magazine that was lost by an RNC officer during a foot pursuit has been located.

The magazine was found fully intact, says RNC Constable James Cadigan. The magazine was found by a member of the public and the officer retrieved it.

An officer lost the loaded magazine from a service weapon during a foot chase in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 13 in the capital city’s east end.

Officers were following the track of a suspect in a reported break, enter and theft, a chase that took an hour an a half through some heavily-wooded and rough terrain – when the magazine was lost.

It has since been recovered.
