The provincial government has revealed that a driver examiner, accused of soliciting money during exams, is on paid leave as an investigation continues.
RCMP last week reported that 43-year-old Scott Norman—a driver examiner with the Department of Motor Registration in Happy Valley-Goose Bay—had been charged with breach of trust.
The charge was laid following a lengthy police investigation.
Minister of Service NL, Sherry Gambin-Walsh was questioned on the report in the House of Assembly today by PC Member for Ferryland, Loyola O’Driscoll.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court July 29.
