The province’s dental health is pretty good according to the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association.
The Dental Association recently hosted it’s Annual General Meeting and Convention in the capital city.
Dr. Paul Hurley, who operates a practice out of Stephenville, says that overall the outlook for oral healthcare is looking very good in this province. He touts a universal program for children under 13 and the provinces dentist to patient ratio.
Hurley says one of the association’s goals right now is to increase participation in their programs. He says they currently have an uptake of about 70 per cent and they would like to see that increase.
