The city of St. John’s will begin flushing water mains connected to the Petty Harbour Long Pond system starting tonight.
The water main flushing will occur overnight tonight and for the next four nights between the hours of 12:30 and 6:30 a.m.
The capital city says the flushing work is done at night to reduce inconvenience to residents, however discolouration and fluctuation in water pressure may be noticed.
Residents are asked to run their cold tap water until the water runs clear.
