Police in Toronto are asking for anyone with photos or video from the area of the shooting during the Raptors victory party to come forward.
Four people sustained serious injuries in a shooting during a massive sports rally in Toronto yesterday afternoon.
A city spokesperson put estimates at well over a million participants in celebrations throughout the city’s streets, as folks flocked together to mark the Raptor’s defeat of the Golden State Warriors.
The event was briefly interrupted when shots rang out in the busy Nathan Phillips Square, sending dozens of event-goers rushing for safety.
Toronto Police say four people were shot, suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries. Around the same time there were two separate stabbings in the downtown Toronto area, with four injured, one seriously.
Three suspects in the shooting have been taken into custody, and firearms were located.
