A facebook group that advocates for Pitbull-type dogs is responding to recent media reports concerning an alleged dog attack by organizing a walk celebrating the breed at Bowring Park later this month.

Tiffany Jordan, a member of the facebook group Responsible Bully Breed Owners of Atlantic Canada owns three bully breeds.

Jordan stresses that it’s not just about the dog or the breed. She says it’s also about the owner behind the leash. They can be tougher dogs and some people use them to their advantage. She doesn’t agree with that. She believes that all dogs should be treated, and loved the same.

The walk will take place on June 30th at 1:00 p.m.. Dogs and their owners will meet in the field across from the park.
