The province’s Natural Resources Minister kicked off the last day of the 2019 Noia Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition by looking at progress made under the province’s Advance 2030.
Siobhan Coady told delegates the potential in the province’s offshore is estimated at 49.2 billion barrels of oil and 194 cubic feet of natural gas. There are also five companies currently undergoing environmental assessment to conduct exploratory wells.
Bill C-69 was a hot topic throughout the conference and Coady continued on that theme.
After touching on C-69, Coady stresses the importance of joint management and that they will “leave no stone unturned”.
