A Mount Pearl man didn’t get very far trying to convince police he was someone else last night.

RNC officers were at a residence around 1:00 a.m. after calls about a disturbance. A 31-year-old man was found to be trespassing and charged with that and assault as well as failing to comply with a court order.

All that and officers found there was also a warrant out for his arrest, but he gave them a different name while they were on the scene.

That got him an additional charge. He spent the rest of the night in the lock-up.
