A dramatic two-vehicle crash on Portugal Cove Road last night may have been caused, in part, by a wandering moose.
Emergency crews were called shortly before 11:00 p.m. to Portugal Cove Road, just east of Windsor Lake.
The driver of one vehicle braked suddenly to avoid striking a moose. That car was then struck from behind by a second vehicle, causing it to roll over, landing back on its wheels.
Occupants from both vehicles were shaken but otherwise unharmed.
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage.
