Dogs and owners that use the Victoria Park Dog Park will need to find a new place to play for a few weeks, starting Monday.
The doggie zone is being relocated to a larger area in the park and is expected to re-open July 5th.
City Councillor Maggie Burton says that not all parts of the park will experience disruptions.
Burton says the ballfield will remain open and that most of the construction will take place around the parking lot. The Lantern Festival will go ahead as usual.
This is just one part of phase two of the Victoria Park revitalization project which will begin in July and take five months to complete.
Some other projects included in phase two are a parking lot replacement, new entry and exits to Sudbury Street, underground infrastructure, new lighting, walkways, washrooms and plant and flower beds.
