The Premier had been holding the portfolio once held by Graham Letto pending the results of a judicial recount that wrapped up on Friday.
Lisa Dempster had been appointed the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment on an interim basis in addition to other cabinet duties.
Now that the NDP’s Jordan Brown has emerged the winner in Labrador West – defeating Letto by just two votes – Premier Dwight Ball has to decide what to do with Letto’s ministerial duties.
He says he has a few eager candidates to choose from.
