Jordan Brown, the newly elected NDP MHA for Labrador West, will be sworn in this morning at Government House.
The rookie MHA has been sitting in the gallery since the May election and NDP Leader Allison Coffin says he’s up-to-speed on estimates which he has also been sitting in on as an observer.
The Premier meanwhile, had been holding the Environment and Municipal Affairs portfolio for Graham Letto who was defeated in the judicial recount by just two votes.
Lisa Dempster had taken on the department duties in the interim in addition to a number of other portfolios.
Premier Dwight Ball says it’s unlikely that he’ll rush to change that in the current sitting of the house.
