It’s officially summer, and with that the Town of CBS, the Avalon T’Railway Association and the RNC are stressing the importance of ATV safety.
President of the Avalon T’Railway, Rick Noseworthy was kind enough to take me on a little tour of the T’Railway on a side-by-side on this beautiful day.

An ATV Safety Blitz held this morning in Seal Cove was an opportunity for various groups like the RNC, Municipal Enforcement, Firefighters and more to come together and discuss safe ATV use in communities.
Deputy Mayor of Conception Bay South, Richard Murphy says they’re hearing more and more about reckless ATV driving, alarming accidents and near misses. He says ATVs and dirt bikes are being driven in designated areas, on roads, walking trails and around facilities, creating a serious safety concern.
It was heavily stressed that owners and parents take responsibility and always be sure to wear a helmet and protective gear, follow speed limits and signs, and only drive on designated areas, staying off highways and roadways.
Murphy says they want everyone to be able to enjoy these machines but they will be cracking down on improper use.
