It’s looking like the budget is going to pass in the House of Assembly this evening.
This morning, the Liberals gained support with the NDP, and Independent Paul Lane voting for the budget.
The PCs voted against, with Finance Critic Tony Wakeham not in attendance.
Conway-Ottenheiner says government remains entrenched in “the blame game”.

The main budget motion has passed and now the House must complete the debate on the estimates. However, it looks like the Liberal minority government’s budget will pass.
PC MHA, Helen Conway-Ottenheimer says her party is voting against the budget because the Liberals didn’t act in the spirit of collaboration, by not accepting any of their 8 recommendations, and that goes against the will of the people, and the minority government.
It looks as if debate will stretch out at least until after Question Period and the budget bill could then come to a final vote after 5:00 p.m..
