There’s a frost advisory for parts of the island which is a worry for people who have recently planted their gardens.
The frost warning was for all of the island, but has since changed to parts central and the west coast.
Tim Walsh a Horticulturist with MUN Botanical Garden says the annual plants are ones to be worried about.
He says there’s really only two things you can do, cover the plants with a light blanket, or spray a light mist of water over the plants as it creates a buffer between the tissue of the plants and the frost.
Walsh says to bring any containers of plants indoors for the night.
