A 27-year-old man who burned down a Mount Pearl home last March after a standoff with police is on trial in St. John’s Supreme Court.
Justin Wiseman pleaded guilty to the arson, but is standing trial on a number of other charges, including a charge of armed robbery at a Marie’s Mini Mart.
Kimberley Mulrooney was working the cash at the Moores Drive Marie’s Mini Mart Location in Mount Pearl on the morning of March 13, 2018.
Mulrooney says a masked man entered the store. She remembers seeing a long knife, describing it like a hunting knife, and says she started to “freak out.”
She says even though it all happened quickly, she remembered seeing a black tattoo above the man’s right eye. The suspect made off with over $400 and cigarettes.
