It looks like the province is going to be getting its first taste of the humid and sticky weather experienced in other parts of the country this weekend.
Other Maritime provinces, such as Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, will be seeing humidex values in the mid to high 30s today. David Neal, a meteorologist with environment Canada, says those temperatures are going to move into the province this weekend.
While the humidex values won’t be as high, they will still pack a punch.
Neal says Saturday will be one of the first really humid summer days this year. He says humidex values could reach the low 30s in central.
Neal says the weather in Labrador will also be sticky, but the humidex won’t be as high as on the island.
He says humidex values for the Big Land are expected to top off in the mid to high 20’s.
