An RNC Honour Guard paraded through the streets of St. John’s today as part of the send off for a former chief, much respected and admired.
The funeral service of retired RNC Chief of Police Robert Johnston took place at the Anglican Cathedral in St. John’s this morning.
Leading up to the ceremony, members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary paraded through the Downtown in honour of the former Chief, a man known for his kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude.
Johnston passed away on Monday at the age of 60 following a battle with brain cancer.
Condolences have been pouring in from across the province following news of his passing.
