The City of St. John’s is hosting a public information session on a proposed development that’s already created a huge public response.
The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist has made an application before the city to build a new multi-purpose annex on part of what is some of the oldest known consecrated land in the province.
The proposal has already raised a great deal of public debate over building on a graveyard that could contain up to 20,000 bodies, and the modern aspect of the annex in a heritage area.
A public information session is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on July 25 at the Anglican Cathedral.
