The first non-binary Reality TV Star in Canada says the support they received from Newfoundland and Labrador was amazing.

Kyra Shenker of Montreal was a top three finisher last season on Big Brother Canada. They say there was a lot of hate directed at them when the show ended but the love from Newfoundland made it nonexistent.

Shenker is in the province taking in St. John’s Pride events throughout the week and says the Parade last weekend here was different then others they’ve attended.

They say it wasn’t like a rave like you would see at Toronto Pride, it was more like family and friends coming together to show support and their alliances to the queer community.
