Officials say one bird has been affected so far by the oil spill at the Hibernia platform last Wednesday.
An oily bird was spotted at the site yesterday.
A crew attempted to reach the bird using a fast rescue craft but they could not locate the bird.
Third party wildlife observers are on the scene monitoring the situation, so far no other impacted wildlife have been spotted.
Response efforts are are still continuing at the site in response to the spill, which saw an estimated 12,000 liters of oil leaked into the ocean.
