The plane which crashed into Mistastin Lake last week is no longer visible.
Searchers have been on scene since Friday, but neither the plane’s fuselage nor any of the missing men have been located.
The plane was visible from the air early last week, but police believe that heavy rain and high winds may have contributed to its sinking.
Objects of interest in the lake have been identified through the use of side scanning sonar. Police won’t speculate on what those objects may be.
A ROV is on-site and will be used as needed during the search.
Mistastin Lake is located in a very remote area of Labrador, about 100 km southwest of Nain, accessible by air only. The lake is about 16 km in length and people familiar with it say depths can be hundreds of metres.
