The VOCM Cares Block the Bus Campaign has begun once again. The goal is to collect school supplies in support of Bridges to Hope and their Bag 2 School program.

Last year over 650 school bags were filled and distributed throughout the region and the need is growing.

Tara Haley with VOCM Cares says there has been generous support shown in past years.

School supplies like erasers, notebooks, scientific calculators and more can be dropped off over the next couple of weeks at Piper’s locations in St. John’s.

VOCM will be broadcasting live from Piper’s Elizabeth Ave on Friday, August 16 to fill a Metrobus full of school supplies.
