The only regatta to take place on salt water is being hailed a success once again this year, with more than one record-breaking run.

The 56th running of the Placentia Regatta took place on Saturday with Belfor, a local crew, once again coming away with the Adrian Traverse Men’s Championship with a time of 9:38.40. Belfor also broke a course record during qualifiers with a time of 9:07:31.

Hyflodraulics won the Karen Caravan Women’s Championship with a time of 5:02.00. They also broke a course record earlier in the day with a time of 4:54:87. The Cahill Group came second in the women’s race with a time of 5:09.60.
