Canada’s first female astronaut and first neurologist in space is coming to the province in August.
Dr. Roberta Bondar will be the guest speaker at Memorial University’s celebration for 50 years of engineering education in the province.
Bondar is a Canadian astronaut legend. After spending time in space as an astronaut and neurologist, she became head of an international space medicine research team teaming up with NASA. She is now a speaker in the business, science and medical community.
Bondar has received many honours including the Order of Canada.
She will speak August 9 at Signal Hill Campus starting at 8:00.
